July 6 - Good Thing Gary Didn't Show

Max:

Its a good thing that Gary Sheffield bailed on his scheduled appearance this morning because I am certain you would have screwed that interview up. You would have asked him about the Tigers and baseball and how he is doing in Detroit. Perhaps you might have even aksed him about steroids, where he clearly falls into your "convicted" category. But what you should have really aksed him is this - "Hey moron, do you understand that a dollar earned today has more value than a dollar earned in the future. Its called the "time-value of money" and you should probably learn this principle before you negotiate your next contract. Had you understood this principle in 2003, we wouldn't have had to hear you bitch about how underpaid you were for the past four years."
